M44 Körös Bridge

Our model showing the passage of the M44, 2 x 2-lane expressway over Hármas-Körös is seemingly very simple, in fact 3 bridge structures at a time. Between the two floodplain bridges is the riverbed bridge, which bears the loads over a span of 98 m. The track structure is suspended by cables on the curved steel structure. When preparing the model, we had a clear expectation that we would also depict the most important elements of the engineering structure, so the various reinforced concrete and steel beams, dilatations, water traffic signs and various railing elements were all added to the model. We tried to make this relatively “dry” theme more realistic with realistic, 3D printed vehicles, athletes fishing peacefully in their boat and kayaking just under the bridge. The latter idea worked so well that the animators of the bridge construction also enchanted the kayakers. For those interested in the whole development, we recommend this film.
